Where To Buy And Rent Designer Handbags Online

Designer Bag YSL

A designer bag is an investment. Experts say that an investment in a designer handbag might be better than the stock market. A bag might not be a collectible now, but it could be later. While the purchase of designer handbags is on the rise, more and more people are choosing to rent their handbags. With fashion trends constantly changing, renting a bag gives more opportunity for seeing which one’s you truly enjoy carrying before choosing to make the splurge and make the investment. I’m sure y’all have noticed the Céline Nano bag in my last few posts. Sadly, I did not buy a Céline bag (trust me, you guys will be the first to know) but I did rent one. All other bags that you’ve seen on my blog are mine, but unfortunately the Céline bag isn’t mine, yet. I’m seriously obsessed with it! In this post I’m sharing one of the best kept secrets of a blogger… where to buy and rent designer handbags online.

Tradesy – This site lets you buy and sell authentic, designer products. They often have a lot of products marked down, and you get $50 off your first purchase when you register to be on their mailing list. I like that Tradesy has an authenticity promise, meaning the product is 100% authentic or they will give you a refund. A friend of mine ordered a bag from here and loved it!

Rent The Runway – You can rent handbags, clothes and accessories. One thing I love about RTR is that when you rent clothes you have the option of picking two sizes, just in case one doesn’t fit. Their purses are reasonably priced for rentals. The only negative thing is that the turn-around rate is very quick. You can only rent items for 4 or 8 days at a time.

Bag Borrow or Steal – This company lets you buy, rent and sell designer handbags. If you choose to rent, you will be charged on a month-to-month basis. If you want to keep it for longer than that, they will just renew the charge each month until you return it.  I like that you can buy and sell on Bag Borrow or Steal, and they offer a 4 day return policy.  They are also recognized in the Better Business Bureau which basically means they are a trustworthy company. This is definitely one of the better sites.

Arm Gem – Lets you rent bags monthly and offers free shipping in the USA. This is another popular site that lets you rent designer handbags online. ArmGem refers to their services as a “virtual closet”.

Nordstrom – Unless you visit the physical location of a designer’s store, Nordstrom is definitely one of your best options when it comes to searching for and buying an authentic designer handbag.

TJ Maxx – When I found out that TJ Maxx also sells designer handbags, I was shook!! Like I’m talking Italian leather and Gucci. However, they don’t usually keep a lot of bags in stock and they sell out FAST. In comparison to shopping in person, TJ Maxx’s website is the best place to shop, especially if there isn’t a physical store location near you.

Overstock.com – You probably already know that Overstock has everything…. including designer handbags. They might not have as many options when it comes to high-end luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Prada, but they do have other designer brands like Michael Kors.

THE OUTNET – This site has designer brands like Valentino and Chloé for low prices. They are usually marked down by 25-40% off. This site is owned by the company, Net-a-Porter. I like that THE OUTNET has a “live chat” feature on their site because of the swift response rate.

Hopefully this list will help you ladies in your decision making process of renting vs. buying a bag and where to go to look for one!
